The CAN-Do Dropsite is in the works!
I really appreciate all the great feedback I get from my wonderful CAN-Doers. Many of you even volunteered to deliver the cans/bottles to me! Unfortunately, I live off the beaten path a bit so that was neither convenient nor practical. I knew I needed to have a spot off the main drag (M-15 Ortonville Road) with easy in/easy out access, not restricted to appointment times. However, commercial frontage on a main road is a bit (ok more than a bit) out of reach for a small volunteer bottle donation service. But we are CAN-Doers! So, I am excited to announce that we have a location – so new it doesn’t even have an address yet! But this is what started us down an even deeper path….
CAN-Do DropSite and Processing Center
Can/Bottle returns is a messy job. So anything to make it easier and to add capability to do it on a larger scale just makes sense.
Our new location/facility will do just that:
- Centrally located on the main road M-15 Ortonville Road
- Easy in/easy out drive-thru lane for CAN-Doers on the go opting to drop off donated returnables
- No appointments necessary
- Processing building for cleaning/sorting/storing
- Other exciting benefits that are still SHHHHH! in the works
We do NOT currently plan to stop offering the pickup service. We are brainstorming ideas to streamline and build in more efficiencies into the process. As always, I welcome any ideas and suggestions from my creative CAN-Doers!
